Steve left school at 16. (Sometimes choices like Art School do not belong to you). He is self taught and has sought knowledge through distant places to become the artist he is today.
The artistic journey began during the pandemic. Facing unemployment, he challenged himself to master the techniques of the legendary artists. Recreating works by artists like Renoir, da Vinci, Monet, Van Gogh, Lowry, and Constable.
A quiet determination to prove something to himself. The ability to paint, revealing itself like a buried light. (He has never learned from textbooks, he has always learned from seeing).
He is always the paintbrush, his wife always the pen. He sorts out the flatpacks and I sort out the literacy or digital videos.
We love fake and fortune, but have never sold a fake.
His desire is always to paint, what the world wants. (The world never embraces the unwanted).
Understanding the world is the difficulty. Like many artists progress slow and dedicated, particularly when one’s time is more aligned to work than net-work. The art is always real.
Hard to imagine we will ever get to the destination. Perhaps in art there is no final place, particularly when you paint with passion every single day.
Peachman’s Impressions of the Greats At A Glance - can be viewed here. (All of the artists he has emulated he has great admiration for). His dedication to mastering the techniques of legendary artists, has since this time, evolved into his own unique style. Hopes for the future is to bring a classic and fashionable aesthetic to your space. His mission is to bring happiness into your world and create something special.
