One Man & His Boat Oil Painting

Original Oil in Black and Gold Vermeer Frame

£750.00

This image is selfishly one man in his boat, out on the ocean, smiling at the sun. The sun is shining and there is confidence in the paint, like a layer worn, pretending yet somehow hiding from the fact, there are no arrow signs and that the sea is indiscriminate.

The water feels like determination, the weather confident. It wants to say the journey less travelled still got me home.

Underneath the confident strokes, the beautiful hues - there is fearlessness,  like precise brushstroke, where self-expectations are actually higher and more self-imposed.   You don’t see that there isn’t actually anyone on the boat at all.   Assumptions are made by what the eye sees, not what is missing.

If you need calm in your life this is both classic and elegant that would suit many decorations.
